Kingsbridge Private Hospital at the WPFG
The WPFG are under way and crowds have flocked from near and far to watch this exciting sporting event.As official Medical Partner for the 2013 games, Kingsbridge Private Hospital has provided 30 Physiotherapists who are currently providing medical support for the competitors.Competitors are also availing of the Five Star facilities at Kingsbridge Private Hospital for Private Casualty and Private GP service which is catering to attendees from over 70 countries who have come to support the games.

25 Thousand Visitors are expected in Northern Ireland during the games.
Kingsbridge Private Hospital are deploying 30 Physiotherapists from UK, Southern Ireland and NI to numerous WPFG sporting Venue sites across NI.
197,000 bottles of water
During the games, althletes, volunteers and officials will keep hydrated with a staggering 197,000 bottles of water.
6 ENPs (Emergency Nurse Practitioners)
Kingsbridge Private Hospital has 6 mobile ENPs out during the Games who will be providing medical advice for competitors.
The number of hours of training undertaken collectively by the physiotherapists and ENPs. 3Fivetwo provided use of their Training Academy facility to facilitate WPFG Medical Information Evenings and a Sports First Aid accredited course. This was attended by the members of St Johns Ambulance, the Public Health Medical Officer, PSNI lead for the games and other medical volunteers for the WPFG.
The amount of bandages that could potentially be used during the course of the Games. Vivomed has donated 30 kit bags – one for each physio – and KPH have fully stocked them and will replenish them as needed.
The Physio bags will include swabs, taping, scissors, steri-strips, ice packs, heat spray, cling film, smelling salts, paraffin/Vaseline for chaffing, plasters, alcohol wipes, sterile water, euro splint, emergency blanket, pocket masks for CPR, gloves and anti-bacterial hand gel and – of course – bandages.

Each of the kit bags will also contain anti-bacterial hand gel and latex gloves which will need to changed for each patient. This means that if each Physio treats just 10 people every day, during the course of the games – it could amount to 2,100 pairs of gloves being used. Could be more!
Volunteers at the games are expected to munch over 8,958 sandwiches!
There are 9,900 medals for the games - 3,330 gold, silver, bronze
This is the first time the event has been held in the British Isles and only the third time in Europe in its 28 year history.
