OVULATION... What is it?

Ovulation is the process in Females where, every month post puberty, an egg/ovum is released from the Ovary into the Fallopian Tube. This occurs mid menstrual cycle, approximately 14 days before the beginning of the next menstrual bleed in a regular 28 day cycle- although this can vary for different women. The egg/ovum (size approx. 0.5mm) then travels from the Ovary through the Fallopian Tube to the Uterus. This process takes a few days. During this period of time is a woman's most fertile time.
