Bill Campbell has been an NHS consultant colorectal and general surgeon since 2014 with his private rooms being located in Kingsbridge Private hospital Northwest in Ballykelly.

Bill's training was in Northern Ireland with focused training in Dublin and in other international units. He studied to the level of PhD in the peptide biochemistry of neuroendocrine tumours in Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital Wellcome laboratories.

Bill's main specialist area of treatment is cancer of the colon and rectum but he also treats a wide variety of non cancerous (benign) bowel and general surgical conditions such as hernia and gallbladder problems. He has an interest in surgical outcomes and is the clinical lead for Prehabilitation and ERAS programmes. As part of his work he leads the audit and governance units which ensures the highest quality of service is delivered to patients. As part of his role he is also an accredited colonoscopist in the bowel cancer screening programme, a programme that aims to detect early colorectal cancer in the population of people who have no symptoms.
