NEWS: Kingsbridge Sligo Team Raising Thousands For Youth Suicide Prevention & Cancer Charities

17th, Dec 2024

Kingsbridge Sligo are proud of employees Shannon Luby and Keelan Dunleevy as they raise thousands for their chosen charities with the help of fellow colleagues.

Shannon Luby, who works in Medical Records at Kingsbridge Sligo is taking her fundraising efforts for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland to new heights with a SkyDive on the 6th April 2025.

“Ireland has the fourth highest teen suicide rate in the EU/OECD so the invaluable work of this charity deserves to be supported. By providing mental health awareness and suicide prevention programmes to schools and colleges with facilitators working directly with students to promote awareness, provide skills and advice, and support teachers and staff as needed,” says Shannon.

“I am so grateful to everyone who has donated and feel very privileged to be in a position to do my part even in a small way to help fund this work and the resources provided including online training and youth self-harm and suicide publications, a FreeText service, immediate access to crisis counselling for at-risk teenagers as well as a wide range of outreach activities.”

Meanwhile Keelan Dunleevy, who works in the Medical Administration team in scheduling Urology appointments, kept his feet firmly on the ground while growing a “Mustache” to support Men’s Health in the area of Prostate Cancer throughout November.

Just €50 can help prepare a man with a plan on how and when to reach out to a friend who's struggling with their mental health through the Movember Conversations program. Find out more about how you can support this important cause on Movember - Home

Colleagues at Kingsbridge Sligo generously donated their Christmas party deposits and proceeds raised at their Festive Fun Day on Thursday 19th December to both charities helping Keelan reach €960 and Shannon €1800 which oversees her target of €1000.

The Kingsbridge Foundation, the charitable arm of the Kingsbridge Healthcare Group are delighted to also match their hard work by doubling both amounts.

Amazing work guys! You’re a real inspiration to us all!
