Seeing Is Believing

14th, Oct 2024

Over the past few months, staff from across the Group have been visiting some of the beneficiaries of the Kingsbridge Foundation to take part in 'Seeing is Believing' visits.

In June, staff from across Kingsbridge Private Hospital in Belfast and Ballykelly visited the Zachary Geddis Break the Silence Trust to learn more about the charity and to see first hand how our donation has helped them.

A massive thank you to Yasmin for having us, it was a truly invaluable visit and an amazing insight into the work that takes places everyday to support the mental health of all ages across Northern Ireland.

In September we visited St John the Baptists Primary School in Belfast to learn first hand how our donation has helped them.

In the 2023/2024 academic year, our donation funded a music therapy programme which involved employing the professional services of a music therapist to work each week on a one-to-one basis with children who were selected from throughout the school for a range f=of reasons including bereavement, emotional health and wellbeing, anxiety, ASD and much more.

"The success of the programme can be measured not simply in improved confidence, self-esteem and mindsets of the children involved but also through the volume of follow-up support routes signposted by the music therapist availed of by families." - St John The Baptist Primary School.

A massive thank you to Mr Donnelly, Principal; Mrs Maguire, Vice Principal and Michelle and Emma from Music Therapy Connections NI for having us, it was a truly invaluable visit and an amazing insight into the work that takes places everyday to support these pupils.

In October, members of staff from the Group visited Trinity College Belfast. It was lovely to see their nurture garden which is an important space in the school where their support and intervention programmes take place.

A massive thank you to Mr McAllister, Vice Principal for having us. It was a fantastic insight into the work that takes place everyday to support the pupils of this school.
