Mr Deepak Thomas

Mr Deepak Thomas is a Specialist ( Consultant ) Oral Surgeon and is one of few dual qualified Surgeons in Ireland with both a Medical and Dental Degree.

He is currently the only dual qualified Oral Surgeon working exclusively in Private practice in the Northwest of Ireland .

He is on the Irish register of Specialist Surgeons and worked for several years in the Oral Surgery Department, Dublin Dental Hospital.

After finishing his Medical Degree at Trinity College Dublin, he successfully completed surgical rotations enabling him to complete his Intercollegiate Membership exams in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Thomas also possesses a Masters in Global Health from Trinity College Dublin and a Fellowship in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland .

He has worked for over 6 years in several major Oral and Facial Surgical units in the UK at Medical Council-validated Specialist Registrar level posts and gained excellent exposure to higher surgical training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery .

Mr Thomas was formerly a Clinical Supervisor, teaching hands-on minor Oral Surgery to Final Year Students in Dentistry at the Dublin Dental Hospital on a sessional basis.

His practice is limited to services in specific aspects of Oral Surgery and include Oral Medical conditions , Facial and Jaw Joint Pain with Jaw ( TMJ)Dysfunction.

Mr Thomas is a fully participating provider with major private insurers and has admitting rights and privileges as a Consultant in Kingsbridge Private Hospital . These privileges include performing Oral Surgery under General Anaesthesia.
