Lisa has worked since 2000 as a Speech and Language Therapist in both community clinic and school settings providing specialist assessment and intervention to children and young people presenting with a range of communication delays, challenges and disorders.
Lisa Currently works in Paediatric ASD Service within a Health and Social Care Trust.
She branched into the area of an Autism Spectrum Disorder in September 2004, commencing a Specialist Post within the Autism Assessment & Diagnostic Service and since then have developed a number of specialist skills in working with this client group, going on to becoming the Service Lead in September 2010.
Lisa has a wealth of experience in the design and implementation of ASD assessment models ensuring they meet NICE guidelines and current diagnostic criteria alongside intervention programmes. She is a highly skilled diagnostician providing high quality ASD assessments and providing evidence based advice and strategies to autistic individuals and their families.
She has also been providing private assessments for both children/young people and adults as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist since joining Tennyson Psychology Services as a private practitioner in September 2022.
Working as a Speech & Language Therapist since November 2000 has given her many years of postgraduate experience, working with pre-school, primary and post primary age children and young people in a variety of settings.
